Yeah, and anyway Alfa Romeo is part of FCA. Not precisely paragons of reliability, as the Quadrafoglio has shown.

You should go sit in a new subaru! They don’t suck
They are bound to make the GT3 and GT2 lighter with carbon fiber and silly ropes for door openers. That’s my prediction, anyway.
The difference is Audi doesn’t put the engine ahead of the front axle because of tradition. They do so because that makes for better packaging and more interior space, and because that makes it easier to accommodate AWD. Subaru does the same, but they use shorter boxer engines with lower centers of gravity. When…
uhm. no. The engine is 100% ferrari, but it is a V6 developed from a V8 that is actually used by ferrari.
Nope. No custom plates were I live. Forgot to mention i wasn’t talking about the US. It is possible I was looking at government issue vehicles though.
I’ve seen sequential plates next to each other a couple times around here. Both times it was two bodyguard type cars in a security comboy. It was funny too because they were both the same model of black BOF SUV. They were probably bought together.
It doesn’t look like that’s a nice segment to compete in right now, not in the age of 84 month loans. Nowadays people only think about monthly payments, so there’s less perceived incentive for going for a cheap crapcan. Also, used cars are more attractive to frugal buyers now that they are more reliable and there are…
A 4-door Alfa Romeo with a Ferrari engine
Is it fair to call BYD a startup? I have been seeing their shitty ninth gen corolla knock offs in the streets for years now. They’re sold as Taxi Cabs here in Guatemala. I’ve heard cabbies say they drive like shit and the manual box is horrible.
Now I’m sad AND aroused
Good for you! Sounds like a lot of fun. Will you consider a Boxster? What color? PDK or manual?
I’m not specially committed to either engine as I don’t own, nor plan to own, a Cayman, of any vintage. But cylinder count and forced induction vs. natural aspiration are the sort of thing many Porsche purists and car enthusiasts care about. In that sense, the older Cayman’s engine could be considered more “special”…
People who suggest (or consider) a used 911 vs. a new 718 seem to forget a third option: a used 718, or even better, a used Cayman. Save even money and get a more legitimate engine with 6 cylinders and no pesky snails forcing induction into them.
We’re for some reason not qualified to even consider a used $30k S-class, but the new $50k E-class is okay? I don’t get it.
haven’t you heard? Jalopnik is a transportation blog, not just a car blog
I’m only 23, and when his antics started to surface on my news-radar, I had no idea who he was. Most of my friends were no help at all, which made me feel better. Anyway. G’day old yeller!
I’m sorry. Sarcasm sensors were shut off due to maintenance yesterday.
just go buy a 718 bro
I just turned in my 2014 (CVT) XV Crosstrek for a 2019 WRX. I was often in the situation you described, roadtripping with 3 other friends in the highlands of Guatemala, at around 1500 to 2500 meters above sea level. 0 to 100kph (62mph) was quoted at around 11 seconds for the CVT model. The altitude can’t have helped.…
