Not just an editorial bias, but a true legal bias. An unborn child/fetus/zygote may be a “person” by murder statute, a “fetus” by public health (i.e. abortion) law, and a non-entity under traffic law (thus, you can’t claim one as a passenger in an HOV lane.)
