Reminds me of when I hear a Bible Church pastor exclaim “The Bible is not subject to interpretation, it must be taken LITERALLY!” To which I responded by pointing out that translation is itself interpretive, and he wasn’t reading the original Hebrew, Greek, and Aramaic writing, but a New English bible.

I’ve owned a few cars with title issues, in a few states (had a dealer screw up an origination certificate, still have an outstanding issue from 25 years ago for not having insurance on a car I didn’t own in a state I didn’t live.)
Given that the Constitution outlines a system of government that is largely a system of checks on everyone’s power, I think the framers were aware that the electorate would elect shitheads that would require those checks.
