And more to the point: Christians of any culture portray Jesus as looking just like they do. In Latin America, Jesus has Latinx features. In Europe, he’s white. In Africa, he’s portrayed not quite as black, but with distinctly darker skin. In Asia, he has distinctly Asian features.
