I like In Rainbows, but I think of Radiohead between 1997 and 2001 as their peak. I think King of Limbs is easily their worst. I put it on for the first time in years a couple months ago and found it shockingly dull.

Probably? It will likely be solid, but they haven't had an "amazing" album since Kid A / Amnesiac, almost 15 years ago.
Agreed. And Ali G is one stale fucking bit.
"Here's some money. Go see a Star War."
I like "Garbage Day!", but "Bastaaaaaard!!" by a country mile. The way she stretches that out is simply legendary.
"Running arrowwwwnd…..!" It's fantastically awful. I recently bought the vinyl version of the soundtrack (I just had to), but they unfortunately didn't put it on there. They also left that horrible marching band song that blares on the PA system off it. I guess I'll have to wait for the "deluxe edition".
Paul Smith was also great as The Beast Rabban in Lynch's Dune.
YOU CAN DO MAGIC THINGS!
I hate that I just bought the Mondo soundtrack to STAR TREK II and it has a essay by that blowhard on the gatefold. He is *the worst*. But take solace in this gem, if you haven't seen it already:
I would agree. The last movie of his I liked was In The Mouth of Madness, and that was way back in 1995.
John Carpenter, the worst looking 68 year-old man in history. What's in Starbucks cup, formaldehyde?
Well, there's that scene in Lost Highway when Arquette is forced to strip naked in front of Robert Loggia with a gun to her head….
I liked that one, too!
Above comment
It's the one where Laura blows a trucker for drugs. Just felt forced and overly ick. The doorway…you mean Laura's stretched smile when Bob is entering her? I love that.
I'll have to look for that. And FWIW, I think Lucas's tweaks to the original movies are so much more unforgivable than anything the prequels may have wrought. I just showed someone the newly added "NOOOOOOOO!" in ROTJ to a coworker and he damn near shat himself.
Yes. Yes you do. Anyone planning to watch the new TP should revisit FWWM and The Missing Pieces. I kind of lost my mind watching it last year as I'd waited for those deleted scenes for years. There's only one scene in there that I really don't like. I won't spoil what it is.
It's bad, but it sure is quotable!
I think it would blow everyone's mind. Have you seen his deleted scenes in The Missing Pieces? It ain't much, but it's something.
I like that stuff, and you are right… *IF* you subtract the awful love story. Unfortunately, so much weight is put upon that, and like I said, it needed to be good in order to make its downfall work in III. That's why I think the movie is the weakest of all the SW movies. Granted, I haven't watched it in some time,…
