IT IS NOT NATE SILVER’S FAULT THAT PEOPLE DON’T UNDERSTAND PROBABILITIES. He gave Trump a higher chance of winning the presidency than the Cubs had of coming back and winning the World Series after Game 4 and we literally all JUST saw that happen. He doesn’t conduct the polls, he aggregates them, and there was no way

Yeah, he’s a weird scapegoat in this saga. Flash back a week and a half ago and there were people all over the internet (including on this family of websites) writing pieces about how he was being way too bullish about Trump’s chances. Now, we’re blaming him for not being bullish enough...

Silver constantly warned that this election was different given the volatility in the polls and the large amount of undecided voters. He also warned that there was a significant possibility that Trump would win the Electoral College, but would lose the popular vote. Nate Cohn at the Upshot, however, was completely

Nate Silver’s model was the only one which gave Trump a good chance of winning. Take it up with the Huffington Post and Sam Wang; they gave Clinton close to a 99% chance of winning....

So you’re ‘kinda over’ all the progressive values that he’s been espousing for 30-40 years? Jesus Christ, dude. Fuck off.

I, on the other hand, am having a hard time looking at the Clinton people who painted all of his supporters as misogynistic bros during the primaries. You can’t really blame Sander’s for people voting against their best interests. It’s the fault of the people.

Uh, oh is Bernie Sanders no longer the old, white, stupid misogynistic dude? Do we like him again?

What a good guy. I voted for Clinton (because I’m not a fucking idiot) but I always loved Bernie. I think that this optimism and this encouraging idea that we need to push forward for what is right, is exactly what many of us need right now.

im so fucking tired of white women who hate black people and muslims and other poc so much that they want us dead more than they want their bodily rights

Shh, we’re supposed to say the wars stopped on 1/21/2009.

To be fair, inflicting suffering on brown people is a totally bipartisan disgrace.

“There will be years of recriminations in our future. Many Democrats will, as is their habit, conclude that the fault lies with the left wing of the party — that progressive party activists did not sufficiently support the candidate or that leftward attacks weakened Clinton. But that notion hides a simple fact: In an
