This entire thing is a perfect illustration of what, exactly, it means to be conservative nowadays, which is to have basically no consistent principles except deliberately provoking and demeaning people (and tax cuts for the rich, I guess). That is it.

Yeah.  We’ll all just chalk this up to being “locker room talk”.

Why does it not surprise me that people are suddenly scandalized by provocative or inflammatory language by a Biden staffer despite spending the past four years letting Donald Trump say literally whatever the fuck he wants without repercussions or consequences?

It’s similar. The one I remember did not have a bio-absorbable encapsulation, but it was one that broke up at exposure to the common laser removal light frequencies. So the one you cite was a temporary. It looks like it never got past launch. Still, I think the idea of easily removable ink is a good one. I wish it got

Omg, where is it?  10/10 would purchase.  Also recipes - for baking with weed.

I looked up my abuser and stupidly sent him a message about how I hoped his daughters were safe from people like him and some other shit I should have probably just left alone.
As you can tell, I can have a little bit of a hair-trigger response!

100% Agree. It’s a fantastic periodical and as someone else mentioned, the podcast Tom Brown’s Body was really excellent. I blew through it.

I subscribe to the print edition, as everyone should! Incredible stuff; I’d recommend as something of a deep cut this oddly riveting 17-year-old story the famed true crime writer Pamala Coloff wrote about lipstick, of all fucking things. https://www.texasmonthly.com/articles/lip-shtick/

Also, the podcast Tom Brown’s Body (produced by Texas Monthly and narrated by Skip Hollingsworth) is absolutely fascinating and similarly well done. I just wish they’d gone deeper into the small town dynamics.

If anyone hasn’t yet heard of Texas Monthly, it is hands-down one of the best sources for fascinating longform stories. They’re written incredibly well, to the point where I find myself clicking on stories that I normally don’t care about at all and am entirely sucked in. Some personal favorites in case you have some

That movie is a mess, but it looked exactly like how I imagined it from the books.  I’ve gotten over all of my aesthetic issues with the show because they are doing a great job with it.  I have also come around on Miranda as Scoresby, though I’m still not sold on James McAvoy as Asriel.  But he hasn’t been in this

Her dismissal of the mom jeans alone should go on her reel.

I mean, if i saw a shrieking monkey where I didn’t expect to see a shrieking monkey, even if my regular job were working with shrieking monkeys, I’d probably still be pretty startled.

Does Coulter know how to drive a car? Because when she asked for Boreal’s keys I was very confused about how she intended to drive it, but I guess she made it there okay? Did she have to parallel park? I want to see those scenes, dammit.

I don’t know, that snub nosed monkey would freak me the hell out! Hell, an average dog would make me jump in a situation where I wasn’t expecting an animal to appear, plus being stressed out, creeping into a space to steal and object from an enemy... and then this comes out of nowhere:

I only now realized how many Italian names there are in this story: Carlo, Marisa, Belacqua, Costa, and of course everybody in Cittàgazze. As an Italian, it’s kind of weird.

Can’t believe this review didn’t mention the most important moment of the episode:  Monkey wearing a seatbelt.

Oh and Mary reminds me of Susan Sarandon circa 1994's The Client.

Just so everyone knows - the Angel that Mary was talking to in the lab was none other than Sophie Okonedo, one of Britain’s finest actresses (yes, I have a bit of a crush on her). If you’re wondering if you’ve seen her before, you have if you’ve watched Doctor Who - she played Liz Ten in The Beast Below. The voice

They are practicing with the knife, but really have power, and they are playing with it, and it can be intoxicating. Will is so (SO) intense all of the time, it was nice to see him crack a smile for once.
