I missed the ‘98 win, but I watched the 2006 final in a packed bar in Paris. The collective intake of breath and sudden, complete silence when Zidane headbutted the Italian player was something that I thought only happened in movies.

I don’t think he’s hot either, but I’m not into dudes with beady eyes set close together, so that eliminates basically all of the current hot Hollywood guys (Ryan Reynolds, the Hemsworths, the Chrises). 

Yeah, my grandma was Scottish and she had a bunch of that stuff from Charles/Diana’s wedding and also swag from Lizzie’s coronation (teacups, etc). I imagine if she were alive for Diana’s sons marriages her collection would have expanded :).

I’ve only read Chéri and not her other works, but my favorite Colette fact is that she once put on a show that consisted of her dancing naked on a Parisian stage with only a leopard skin draped around her, and it got shut down by the French police for offending morals. She was deliciously scandalous!

Oh for sure! Genetics definitely plays a role, but I imagine that level of toning is something that requires a great deal of work to accomplish. Work that I’m not really motivated to actually do on most days!

Will and Kate PDA every now and then (I think it’s cute) but maybe the appropriateness depends on the venue, royal etiquette-wise. In any case, she seems to be subject to an extra-intense level of scrutiny.
