Well, on the off chance that you ever win powerball and need someone to take that cash off your hands so that your kids don’t automatically become rotten, let me know because I’d be happy to help you out with that. ;)

I imagine rich parents, much like parents of all income levels, just want to give their kids the best in life. I know you said it’s not a dig specifically against Cardi B, but I can’t see how it’s harmful to want to give your baby French lessons and ballet classes.

I love this update, thanks for sharing more about your mom! She does sound like a wonderful person who’s had a very full life - you’re lucky to have her <3.

Jesus, weddings really bring out the crazy in everyone.

Those thong workout outfits from the eighties are so bananas! It’s definitely an era-specific look.

Don’t get me wrong, I certainly wouldn’t be opposed to your version of events...;)

I prefer crisply tuxedoed Idris Elba clinking a glass of champagne against mine while staring deeply into my eyes, thankyouverymuch!

Ugh, that guy sounds like a major douche.

I get it - some people really enjoy raising children! It does sound like an enormous amount of work though :)

Lol! I feel like this is a best case scenario, it’s probably more likely a chaotic mess in reality.

Your aunts sound pretty amazing!

Your poor mom! That’s really awful :(

I assumed so too, but a couple of commenters upthread mentioned that they’re actually catholic.

Haha thanks! My sister and I often say “Tofutti, Tofutti my love” to each other when we’re being silly, that’s why I picked it :D

I agree with everything you said. It’s totally rotten to force your older children to be basically primary caretakers for the younger ones.

I probably would have given up on having a girl after the second child turned out to be another boy, but that’s just me.

True! It’s so gross, preparing girls for “wifehood”.

Aw, that poor little girl! My parents were very far from perfect, but one thing I truly appreciate is that despite having busy jobs they never really made me care for my younger siblings, even when I was a teen. I can’t remember missing out on going to a sleepover or birthday party, etc. because I had to babysit.

It’s giving me the shudders just thinking about it!
