Honestly, the interface has aged much more poorly than the graphics. The graphics have a certain pixelly charm.

Sometimes you just don’t want to redo levels you’re bored of to hit an arbitrary number. I still have bad memories of Jet Force Gemini telling me to go back to every single level and save all those stupid bears.

The backlash against this game is kind of baffling to me. Yeah, it’s not the second coming and ultimate revival of 3D platformers, but they delivered exactly what they promised; a Banjo game with a modern coat of paint, and everything (good and bad) that entails.

No, talking shit to each other happened way before “online” gaming. It was called the arcades.

This was way before online, it was in the arcades. People just don’t know the roots of the FGC

I mean, this stuff has been going on way before ‘online gaming’ was a thing, back when we had to play games together in the same room/arcade. FGC doesn’t really give two shits what the rest of the gaming world thinks, honestly, these dudes grew up on all of this :P

Nah, this shit gives the FGC some great emotional hooks.

I would say its not a very productive one? I find the rest of her comment very convincing, even though I ultimately disagree. The soundbyte nature of a call for destruction may get more attention (which appears to be the intention?), but I think largely undermines the points made therein and is ultimately destructive

I don’t care who produces what as long as it opens eyes and does what art is supposed to do - make people FEEL.

I understand the critique of her style softening and perhaps undercutting the brutality of the subject, but calling for the paintings removal or destruction and claiming that the artist has no right to speak to this...doesn’t sit right with me.

I just want it made clear that although this isn’t my particular bent, you made my day with this comment. All of the stars to you.

thats how it usually happens in my fanfic.

I mean, he even makes it fucking clear that his cancer wasn’t advertised along with the game. He’s just going into it in-depth with Kotaku.

Please get punched in the face.

Thank you for keeping Crashlands visible , the game is good fun, and just the fact it exists is nothing short of amazing.
