It was mostly about the affair she had but the way that she wrote it was really off-putting. And I am not one to judge really, while I think cheating is wrong I do think people can have affairs for really complicated reasons but in her second book she just came across as a brat.

I use to think an apocalypse was the only way to save us but I no longer think that.

Gamers will just say saving the world is woke and that it’s ruining video games.

Please tell me you don’t mean Parker Posey the American actress I deeply love and if she is transphobic I will be really sad about it. I tried googling it and only got stuff about Parker Posey!

In the first book I think her issues were relatable, with her complaints about where she lived, her job, even her partner, etc. As someone graduated the year before the 2008 recession and could not find a job in my field I really got it. So even when she was whiny I felt for her.

And trans people face years of harassment for their activism. A trans woman, a Twitch streamer called Keffals, in Canada was swatted and almost died because of right-wing transphobia and harassment.

Maybe in general, but the YouTuber Contrapoints did a really good video on this topic and a lot of J.K. Rowling’s takes on trans people come from Rowling’s own weirdness about her own gender identity and internalized sexism and I don’t think it has to do with age.. Like Rowling wrote a whole article about views on

It isn’t. It’s capitalism.

My take is based on her own video of the situation.

Butter is life.

Tim is a genius—or he certainly was in his most creative years.

lol

She hasn’t posted a video on YouTube in a year. And yes, she posted a few videos after the incident but she explained on Patreon she would no longer be uploading to YouTube for the foreseeable future because of it. Maybe she will change her mind as she has posted some content on her community page but it seems like

I wonder if this is even real. I remember Lindsay Ellis was bullied off YouTube for a series of “offenses” and turned out right-wingers were digging up every little thing she ever did online and feeding it to people online. A lot of the outrage was manufactured. And like...yes she did some of those things but a lot of

I feel for the kid. It sort of grotesque how overly invested people are in celebrity lives. Unless someone is being racist or homophobic etc. just leave them alone. Don’t show up to their houses, don’t even ask them for a photo when they are having dinner. Just enjoy their movies or shows and just then have a life

Yeah. I feel this why particularly about Americans. Like only 25% of Twitter users are Americans and only 2-5% are active users. 80% of Tweets come from outside the US and 90% of Tweets come from the top 10% of users. Like....that isn’t representative of anyone really. The amount of time news cycle gives to people

This. Somehow these men are convinced that people like Trump, Jeff Bezos and Elon Musk are their saviors and the example of what men should be. They have zero empathy, compassion or social intelligence and this is what a GamerGate dudes strive to be and they are getting themselves elected to congress. They are totally

I need that on a t-shirt.

I actually enjoyed him in The Dressmakers but your point stands. I can’t think of a single other memorable performance from him.

A lot of people tell they worked hard to build communities on Twitter and they can’t give it up and it isn’t reasonable to ask them to build communities elsewhere. But like....this happens all the time from Livejournal to Tumblr to Twitter, etc. I know it will suck but platforms have died for less good reason than
