As someone who argues against the death penalty I have found that moral and ethical reasons to be against it never moves conservatives I speak with (neither does explaining that it doesn’t actually work as a deterrent).

I agree. Most vegans I know are activists in other areas and just view their veganism as an extension of that but it’s not their focus. This is just a specific thing I noticed with raw vegans.
