I'm old enough to remember watching the original Captain Scarlet on Saturday mornings. The Thunderbirds were better, however.
I'll go with swordfish or a huge blue fin/yellow fin/big eye (!) tuna. Lots of game fishing in the Gulf Stream nearby, and fisherman normally dispose of the heads before putting the carcasses on ice. Could be a squid, though this is far less likely.

Trailers for the show are decidedly unfunny, which in theory should consist of some of the best stuff. This does not bode well for this series. The 20-30 seconds I've seen seem forced and cliched.
