Embarrassingly, I was doing my final edit of this piece when my wife said, "Hey, shouldn't you mention True Detective?" Which was correct, but this was long enough already. I guess that shows how little I think about it?

I had a long list of shows I thought about mentioning but primarily wanted to focus on the three I spent most of the piece on. But, yeah, Rectify would be a good fit if I were writing this a couple of weeks from now.

Who Classic will be back June 7.

I just posted it the night before and scheduled it for 7 a.m. Central. But I was actually awake at that hour.

I don't think I mentioned Community at all in the cancellation FOC? And I still maintain the show being resurrected is nigh-impossible.

I'd heard a rumor that Enlisted was renewed during pickups week, and I was, like, "NAH!" but maybe that person was right, at least before Peter Rice got his stupid hands on it?

Everybody in the young X-Men cast is pretty sexy. It should just be all kissing all of the time, that franchise.

It is called TV Guide.

No episodes of Rectify aired within the nominating period. It will be eligible next year, though!

That's my guess is that it split a lot of votes between comedy and drama but most of those people voted for it for program. (I voted for it in comedy, because that's its Emmy classification, even though I think of it as a drama.)

Hannibal is going to be a tough sell with awards bodies. There are quite a few critics who find the show very pretentious and hard to take. I voted for it though! (Continuing my perfect streak of one of the shows I vote for getting nominated and one getting snubbed.)

I keep forgetting Rectify was so high on my top 10 list last year. (It was third!) I loved that show so, but Americans and Hannibal have been easier to remember right now (for obvious reasons).

Mizumono is fantastic, but it's also an episode that's less likely to work well as a standalone than Takiawase is.

Do you feel like fighting with people? There are some people saying bringing up white privilege is racism in the Louie FOC comments, and I probably shouldn't keep arguing with them because, y'know, I'm married to the woman who wrote it.

It was really obvious, and the show has hit on those points so many times that I didn't feel they needed belaboring.

It really depends on the network at this point. Both Fox and NBC seem content with picking up lower rated stuff that they can monetize elsewhere (usually through streaming). ABC is less comfortable with that notion.

I suspect Trophy Wife will be back. ABC seems really high on it and might even decide to (gasp) try a family comedy after Modern Family.

Yeah, this is the one I was referring to when I said there would be one that didn't get a lot of high grades. It felt very… ordinary, even with all of the gruesome deaths, and legal drama does not fit well with the show.

I have this unreasonable hope that the vague title means season two would be about a different CRISIS, perhaps carrying over Taylor and Gross' characters to solve the CRISIS.
