My dude, introduce yourself to the wonderful world of 3M. They have a variety of products that make gasket removal a joy instead of a chore.

Do we really think this crypto dude was powersliding his brand new minivan in a residential neighborhood? I mean it's clear this thing fell apart in the middle of a turn where he sits. It's not wet or anything.

That’s the thing. Something bad enough to break a control arm, should have blown the tire and potentially cracked the rim too. I mean, I guess he could’ve driven over a rock just the right size to smack it but not damage anything else, but yeah.

They have no reason to build a 2-door Tahoe ever again. The only niche who wants 2 door SUVs are off-roaders and the modern Tahoe just isn’t a good place to start.

Solstice GXP, or Saturn Sky Red Line. 260 hp and they are fun and unique. Easy to wrench on.

I know someone on the inside and can second that.  Even if it is fine, there are a lot of complains the transmission is slipping.  And good luck if you have it behind something with 6 cylinders after 60,000 miles.

I’m not a Honda enthusiast, but in better shape? I could see paying $4,700.

Compare with prices from other high quality forged wheel manufacturers- Rays, Advan, Work, Rotiform, HRE, etc... They all range from 1-2k per wheel. Forged wheels are expensive as hell to manufacture and command a premium for a reason. BBS offers cheapo cast wheels too if you are on a budget.

Do you think this might have a little bit to do with the new car inventory being low from the plants being closed?

My whole point exactly! Not a Silverado apologist, but damn... pretty effin tame compared to the K5/ Sonata.

You like these ugly mugs, but hate the Silverado.... Jalopnik is stupid. There I said it.

Are you really comparing it to an 8 year old car?!?!

As a currrent Hyundai DCT owner, please be wary of ANY Hyundai product with a DCT. New DCT or not, Hyundai hasn’t proven itself capable of delivering a good-driving DCT.  As a matter of fact, we just received a brochure from them as a result of a class action suit.  In it, it describes half a dozen poor driving

Cool

1999 996 came with dual row IMS from the factory, but I believe the remans are the OG single row IMS or the “improved” single row IMS depending on when the work was done.

I agree with you.

So much this.  It’s just like defending the orange baboon.  The defense is stupid and never makes sense but they can’t accept facts.  Ever.

1st gear: if self-driving cars eliminated 1/3 of fatalities, that would be about 13,000 lives saved per year in the US. That would be a truly wonderful thing.

I’m not necessarily indicting the data, because I do think self driving cars will still be safer enough to be worth pushing (if done properly). But let’s be clear about one thing here. The IIHS is not an independent source. They owe their funding and allegiance to insurance companies. They’re basically an insurance ind

Eh I saw the old Frontier as one of the last true work trucks on the market that was affordable, it came with a bullet proof drive-train, no turbo nonsense and an interior you could hose out after a shit day.

A truck has no business having a luxurious interior that’s littered with electronics and gadgets.  But that’s
