there's nothing "crappy" about the Malibu. It's a perfectly fine car. Its main problem is that it still looks too much like the Malibu that launched in 2008.

The Fusion almost made the cut for its solid build quality and interior space. The handling is far better than its given credit, while the pricing – solidly in Accord territory when properly kitted out – had it slipping from the top pics. And there’s MyFord Touch, which is still a complicated mess.

MyFord Touch is only complicated to those who truly, actively try to screw up using it.

You're right that it's a V6, but don't assume that the lack of the Trans Am's rocker panel extensions and elevated spoiler make it so. The Firebird Formula packed the V8 in a base-model body.

Never race a Trans-Am if the driver has a mustache.
