New model 3 is $39k for a base model. Only the Performance is eligible for the federal tax credit. And like most things, there are several variables that come into tax credits. So it’s not like you’re getting a check for that amount (and your financed amount remains the same).

A mazda3 was suggested. Having driven a bunch of them now, there’s no way you’re fitting 3 people in the back of the current gen Mazda3. You can barely fit 2 if there are actual adults in the front seat.

Somewhat pricy and often. Oil change interval is every 5k (vs 10k on gas engines). Take from that what you will. You also have adblue, water separator, fuel filter, etc.

The primary purpose isn’t to save fuel. It’s to reduce emissions output. You don’t make emissions if the engine isn’t running. When the engine starts back up everything is already at temperature so it goes back into closed loop very fast.

Jalopnik cannot spell or do simple math.

Pretty sure we all knew Stalephish got this months ago.

one that could have either two or three rows of seats and better compete against cars like the new Hyundai Santa Fe

People doing this shit won’t go to the track.

More access to tracks wouldn’t improve this. That same lazy argument has been made for decades about people street racing.

There are a ton of squids who don’t have their motorcycle license. It wouldn’t surprise me if the idiot above didn’t have one either.

Don’t normally agree with you, but this is one take I can agree with. Anytime motorcyclists try to get legislation passed or get basic respect from the public, the first thing brought up are idiots like the one in the above video.

This website has spent the past 15 or more years now jerking itself raw about how “great” manuals are in any form. People here will not shut up about how manuals aren’t bad in traffic and on commutes. This is a shitty car enthusiast take at large.

Who cares? People have sold dumber shit on BaT over the years. For all the jerking off you idiots do about manual transmissions you’d think there’d be a line around the block for buying some garbage like this.

Ah. So the foam brush can only improve the finish. Got it.

Yeah it’s pretty lazy “journalism”. There’s countless articles on this site about expensive cars having worse depreciation.

Taurus wagons don’t deserve love.

Sandpaper is probably cheaper

What will your excuse be come summer?

Drives engagement. And we’re all here at the water cooler bitching about how none of these cars are great.

It’s because they’re wrong. The IROC cars were just like any other “stock car” of the time. Tube chassis cars with stylized bodies to match production vehicles. Not as egregious as today, but hardly factory cars being tossed around a super speedway.
