Nah. You’re far from the only one. Flashing arrows for turn signals isn’t normalized. So most drivers don’t see it as an arrow. It’s just some shitty content Jalopnik posted. And we’re required to direct you there to spur engagement.

Usually this comes down to lazy or cheap installs. Nobody wants to tear an interior apart to run the wires. So they just scotchlok into whatever has enough juice to light up a test light.

The mirrors are very much electric. They are electrochromatic and this is what allows them to automatically dim.

Knowing corvette owners, they’re likely not going fast enough to have to worry about radar. Seems like they’re always 10 under in the left lane.

Now playing

The girls were in an R33 Skyline though. Tokyo drift had its faults, but the original sounds way worse. My only complaint is the movie felt like how westerners view Japanese car culture  which makes complete sense considering the intended audience.

This is unsurprising. See these kinds of issues all the time with hardwired accessories. Dash cams, radar, rear seat entertainment, etc. Luckily not to the extent that it ruins a mirror. But causes all kinds of weird electrical gremlins. And usually the issue is they tapped into a circuit that just turned a test light

It’s perfectly fine. This segment really isn’t about performance. It merges into traffic just fine with no issues. And if you need to prove how manly you are with useless horsepower to sit in traffic with, an overpriced turbo is still available for you to vomit cork sport garbage onto.

You can still get leather on grand touring and up. Whatever that correlates to on this new idiotic naming scheme is beyond me.

Counterpoint: you’ll say whoever is paying the bills has the best lighting. Hyundai/Kia has had some pretty awful design language recently. And Jalopnik is suddenly running sponsored ads, while gushing over how amazing Hyundai is at light design. 🤔

I don’t think pricing is available yet. That’s probably why.

Download Parler I assume.

How close does Ballaban sit to the steering wheel? Maybe it’s an optical illusion but I’ve seen old ladies sit further from the pyrotechnic in that spinny circle.

Can’t wear hats all the time. It’d be super noticeable with Ballaban because of how far back it’s come to the sides.

There’s a certain point with balding and receding hairlines that you just have to cut your losses and accept a life of short haircuts, buzz cut, or a shaved head.

Yeah but it won’t have a BMW badge and cost you twice as much

Actually it can cause accelerometer death too. But that’s much more rare

Is it the company whose device is susceptible to the damage in the first place”

Who cares? You don’t own the Integra name. I don’t own the integra name. The original integras were slightly nicer econoboxes. This integra? Slightly nicer econobox. This weird hard on people have for names makes no sense. Like all the crying around the Blazer or Maverick nameplate.

Generally those naming conventions are only for vehicles with a largely vertical rear hatch. Like Golfs, or the original civic hatches. The integra (and things like the Stinger) are liftbacks. Although that’s a naming convention from the 80s and 90s. It fell out of favor over the early 2000’s when many of them were

That’s a no go my friend. Here at Jalopnik we LOVE econoboxes that are over styled and underdeliver. Kia/Hyundai are a big ad sponsor right now, so coincidentally we get post after post talking about how great their lights are or their design language is.
