I have compared them. Yes. They are drastically inaccurate. About as accurate as the old vacuum controlled “MPG” gauges you’d have in the cluster.

The general consensus amongst journalists and Evoque owners (including my personal experience) is that the Evoque is actually pretty good off road.
Now there’s a caveat with Jalopnik. Off road around here automatically equals to rock crawling and crossing rivers. Basically if you can’t traverse a mountain range in it

On something like a Wrangler that’s more likely to rock crawl? I understand the reasoning. But that has a cage system in place in the event of a rollover.
The Evoque is more of a soft roader. Don’t get me wrong. It’s still actually really damn impressive and will handle most of the off roading the average person will

Except the Evoque is actually an attractive crossover. And I have no doubt that Land Rover’s brand prestige carries a little more weight than an awkwardly bulbous Nissan CUV.

I’ve driven new and used...

Bad blind spots? What? I’ve driven a handful of these and never had a blind spot issue. Ford gives you little blind spot mirrors. And even then, I’ve found proper mirror adjustment pretty much eliminated all issues with blind spots.

But it’s still slow...And boring as fuck to drive even when the road twists. It’s a car that has an unnecessary hybrid system.

They did put the right drivetrain in this. Their V8’s at the time were absolute garbage. They weren’t very good in the trucks. Let alone if you tried to shove it in something like this. The V6 was actually peppy and was impressive in both this and the 300M Special it was in.

I don’t know what’s worse. The idiots who continue to bitch about being pulled over or the ones around here who take up for them.

They pulled the F40 over for speeding. Don’t fall into the mental incompetence that is OCPD roll call.

Too many stickers impedes your vision. You can’t be seriously trying to argue that one.

lol. calling anyone a jalop is stupid on it’s own.

a lot more of it has to do with the modifications being flat out unsafe and damaging public roads.

It was actually fast for the time. By that logic we should be posting all the big block pony and muscle cars because even though they felt fast, they were all absurdly slow.

Horsepower isn’t the only factor when you’re talking about speed. you know that, right?

Wrong year. Lowest Corvette HP went (on federal emissions cars) was 165hp (base). California emissions obviously went lower and IIRC they actually got a 305 for a few years. I don’t have my black book in front of me. 75 is even further from the 165hp figure because it was only a year after they discontinued the big

lol. You’re not shipping any complete car into this country and getting it on the road for less than $5k.

55k in Euros is $61,600 in the US. You’ll spend a considerable amount bringing it in the country.

By that logic I should know how to perform an emergency tracheotomy, or how to disconnect a high voltage line on a hybrid.

Why is that disturbing? We’ve been doing it for years to save weight and costs.
These are companies that will shave plastic down to MM in order to save a nickel per car.
