@jhofmann27: No-ones even made a prototype of a suitable hinge. Dell did a laptop or few with unsuitable hinges.

@zzzaap: What, iSight doesn't like Cocoa?

@hatesninjas: I somewhat agree, still dangerous if they know any one password. If you keep signing up at a website with user+1@gmail.com, user+2@gmail.com etc the webmaster could easily see the pattern (and block you, not know your password).

VoiceID can be beaten by phone recorders (if they are better than that, there will be false negatives in noisy environments), Thumbscanners can be beaten by gum/blutak/something softer I can't remember the name of. Dots on a picture is too predictable [labs.mininova.org] Passcodes are too predictable. Pre-shared-keys

Talktalk are kind of nice. I've been using 80GB/m since Dec on an account upgraded from 30 to 40gb some time last year. I live really far from the exchange while still living in the town, about 1.1miles directly, so 2mb/s is possible with a good enough host. £19 plus calls, can't wait for Google Voice.

You don't have to do this just because you're poor, I cut out about half my meat and sugar intake just to be healthy, and I feel more energized, and have a wider, fresher diet.

@Sigusmundo: Warcraft-equal (in power, warcraft sucks as an idea) games include nearly everything, like tf2. Yes, I'd take a laptop that played tf2 well over 50 android tablets, because the tablets do nothing well.

@Sigusmundo: Hmm.. Do I want an Android widescreen (when landscape, it's portrait there) tablet with a screen area of 49", or an iMac with a screen size between 400" and 729", with the best OS.

@ithinkyoucanineurope: Bernie "has praised European social democracy". Sounds like an interesting politician.

Some people that she represents wanted to talk to her about what she represents and some fears they want mentioned in Senate? Is it just that the country is so big that so few people see their representative? In the UK it's really different, my MP's office is opposite my bike shop. MPs are accosted a lot.

@agsine: I wish someone would point out that religious bit, but then the religious and powerful put religion in everything.

I cannot at all tell, is Princess Mononoke here?

Surely projects like this are just prime for April Fools day for Folding@home and all the other distributed science?

Wtf? You're scaring me about wheat, I eat about a kilo of bread a month and in my entire lifetime I've probably had one kilo of white bread.

I video chat with other mac users on iChat, is the chrome gmail chat plugin the (equal) highest quality video for windows?

Until Apache and Microsoft are on board, does it really matter?

@xair: Nope, English back then was like american English is now, British English has advanced since then.

Fuck no no no the daily mail? More likely it was some cancer patient turned indie journalist, who got offered the most by the shit officially called the daily mail.

What type of cable does it use? Coaxial? That's not common in the UK, it's nearly all copper or fiber.

Do you just assume it's working? Do you measure it the same way you measure those internal temp thingys - press a PDA to your chest.
