Whenever there is a horrific story like this I’m remember needs of all those little saying people say to comfort others.

I don’t blame you, Lauren, it is the way the police talked about it and all the news media is reporting it this way. But the altered headline is better, thank you.

It was a fantasy for a year, and headlines force brevity. But I altered it a little to make it more accurate.

This was a woman who adopted a little girl entirely so she could torture and murder her. I seriously doubt she ever thought of the victim as her “child.”

She was out on bail for the impeding an investigation charge. She’s in jail now.

Unfortunately adopted kids are second class citizens.
