This year, as every year: The Holy Bible.

Ah, the eternal question: if people can’t tell you’re black, are you really black?

I agree. It’s always striking how something like particular word choice can have such a huge impact on the shape of a debate/discussion. Strangely, the right seems to be very good at this, both with undermining BLM, but also things like “death panels” and “right to work.”

Getting hit by a car is consistently low-ranked around these parts.

So why is it called ‘privilege’? I mean, I 100% agree with you, I’ve just always found that word to be stupid and counterproductive. Being able to live and work unharassed, to survive traffic stops, to hold hands in public, these aren’t privileges in any way. They’re basic rights that everyone should have. The whole

They’re just pretending.

Where would we be? We’d prolly be in some shitty ass country where you can’t protest against constant state oppression. But since they did die, you can’t protest against constant state oppression. That’s why, if you love this country’s freedoms so much, you should go to another country.

Your loved ones died to oppress the poor, the disenfranchised, and racial minorities in general? That’s fucked up.

Why do you think Lochte is a rapist?

How does this support that? He recused himself. Clearly he wants to make sure that’s not the case. And, honestly, his decision in the first case was teh right one. We don’t know a more draconian justice system. WE don’t need longer sentences that deny the possibility of rehab.

? He didn’t turn down any of those things. He declined to make money, unpaid, for people who weren’t good enough at disguising how little they cared about him.

Interestingly, when it comes to elevators, proper etiquette is for men to enter first. I think the idea is that, in the event the car’s not there and someone has to plummet to their death, it should be the man.

Is there a second good song on there somewhere?

that’s how I watched

Look man. I’m a millenial. I’m 35. We’re adults, the world is ours, all this shit is just old people complaining because they’ll be dead soon.

The Spike Jonze movie Her, from a few years back is also an interesting twist on this, with a completely unembodied but female-voiced AI.

It’s so true. I haven’t heard hardly anyone talk about the Japanese winning the gold.

I’m fairly confident it’s going to absolutely suck.

What makes you think your perception is the correct one?

Having followed UFC for a while, I will be shocked if this fight even actually happens.
