This may be more relevant in the thread about whether or not third-place games should be played, but might Argentina not have preferred clobbering Brazil for South American supremacy in the bronze match — and actually, y'now, scored goals, than ending this World Cup scoreless since the 8th minute against Belgium?

Don't post this on Jezebel without a trigger warning.

Portugal was overrated since before they barely squeaked by Sweden just to get in. How anyone thought Portugal could beat Germany let alone even advance is shocking to me.

I'll take it. It was a resilient performance by the US. They didn't have possession most of the time, and missed easy passes and what could have been goals, but they, Tim Howard especially, blocked what could have been many Ghanian goals. When the latter equalized it, I wasn't surprised, and thought it would be a tie.

WE WIN THE WORLD CUP 2-1 FUCK EVERYONE ELSE!

What's unfair, is not caring at all about what our Creator thinks....

You just said it made his "genitalia tingle" in an insulting manner, and now are trying to cover it up. When you call someone gay for not liking gay things, you become worse than that person, because you just made it a negative connotation. Grow up. End of conversation.

You don't pick controversial topis to represent every employee in the company. We all have different beliefs and the guys is an idiot for not understanding that in a first place.

Good he should be fired. A F1 teams twitter is not a place for him to express his own political options.

No, because men having sexual relations of any kind is disgusting to look at.

Typical PC lib bullshit. The fucking guy posted a picture of two dudes making out to a racing team's Twitter page. He got fired for being a moron. Seeing how he's acting afterward, I bet they feel vindicated in their decision to fire this POS.

That's also interesting that you would defend gay rights by suggesting I'm a closeted gay person as an insult.

These kind of pictures are normally reserved for condom ads and the like. They can make out with clothes on if they want to make it appropriate.

Pictures of sex are inappropriate, regardless of gender. If one of them was a female with no shirt on I'd have the same reaction.

I disagree, it's one thing to provide your own opinion on a controversial matter, but presenting it as the opinion of a company that does business with the country whose leader you are intentionally provoking is just plain stupid. Social media managers are supposed to be the ones who have the common sense to say

Supporting gay rights is one thing, but the picture of two guys making out with their shirts off is a bit much.

Lol, how is this a stupid move? They got rid of someone who may have lost them money. When the alternative was NOT losing money by not commenting on the situation and not hurting business, that's the alternative he should have gone with.

He then should have used his own sake and not Lotus' when he tweeted that picture. He doesn't own the brand nor does he represent everyone on the Lotus F1 team, he was not free to do whatever he felt like with the Lotus brand. If Mr.Ballaban tweeted "Impeach Obama : from Jalopnik Editors" would it be OK without having

When you are as cash-strapped as Lotus, you can't afford to piss of people who are willing to invest money into your program regardless of what social battles you are trying to fight. Especially when those investors are in the country you are fighting social battles in (and frankly, they have no right to dictate to
