Olivia has never been a good person. In fact, almost everyone on the show is willing to do horrible, illegal, and violent things to get what they want. For them, the ends justify the means. Some of them wear a white hat while doing these things, and some of those things are understandable/good things/in the best

Right cause she is totally a “big dog”

My friend and I watch this show together on Thursdays and we always are like “Remember when Abby got blackmailed because she thought she could be president?”

I’ve expressed to my co-workers that I wonder if instead of a love story ending Olivia is the one that ends of up dead, so she is going to be evil but at the end she scarfices herself and is a white hat forever, but does it because she is going to die anyway. This is a weird comparsion, but I was watching the Crown

I just rewatched seasons 1-5 (I am pretending season 6 never happened) and while I didn’t love Quinn all of the time, I will take Quinn every time over Abby. I can’t with Abby and she was worse the second time around. I also lost my love for Cyrus the second time around, but I also learned that I will miss Susan Ross

I struggle with this show this season because I feel like they’ve made Olivia the villain and while I am sure she will redeem herself, it’s just a shitty last season to give us.

I’d imagine Rowan faked Quinn’s death and the two are working together to bring Olivia down. The actress playing Quinn is taking some time off with the new baby, so it stands to reason that she’d be offscreen for a while, but Quinn vs Olivia has always been the show’s logical endgame, and it would be nonsensical to

James is still horrible, but in such a giddy way I kinda enjoy watching him.

Lala has been something else this season. I loved the empowerment chat she had with Ariana and that she was verbally slapping at all the dudes when the Faith recording was revealed.

I can’t figure it out but I do know she’d be thief class bc of all her phone sleuthing

So you take an episode from a show that in a decent world should not exist, featuring a person who should by all rights be spurned, and feature a moment that makes her seem absolutely charming and may even get me to watch the show? What are you, some kind of pop culture writer?

I will be buying this for all the teachers I love and many school libraries

I was called “burnt chicken” in elementary school by someone I considered a friend. Messes with your head a bit. I’ll have to get this book for my younger self.

God she always just looks so... fresh. Also that little colorblock number she is sporting with Elmo is also fresh as hell.

Now playing

I know! Also, I’m posting this here, one of my favorite Sesame Street clips is Lupita talking to Elmo about skin:

Love this. It’s hard enough being a black woman in white majority America, but then having to endure the colorism that is pervasive in the black community on top of that. I learned at an early age to ignore comments like “I don’t want to go out in the sun because I don’t want to get too black” spoken by black people

“I had begun to enjoy the seduction of inadequacy.”

Love this! Also her skin looks PHE-NOM-EN-AL in that picture. I need to take better care of my skin :-(

I am already crying dammit. I wan 57 copies so I can hand them out to strangers.

Counterpoint- I hate to cook, but my best friend got me a badass wonder woman (retro 50's styled) apron and I wear it every chance I get because it’s so pretty. So, if there’s a kickass apron you know your friend will love and they occasionally cook, I say go ahead for people of all genders. Also true: Finland’s gift
