Or you can do like me, stop using your car and instead rely on a bike for most of your travel.

The inner child in me just went green with envy. I mean all this needs is a zip line to get out of it and it's set.

@prattmic: Well at least your comments don't vary alot.

87548 kbps down traffic. Also at home not work.

@Hoss: He prefers to let statistics lie and leave liars to their statistics.

@PickledEgg: Well the benefit that flying brings me outweighs the risk by at least a million to one. So I'll take my chances and live my life, hell I'll die sometime anyways. Dying in a plane crash beats a car crash if you ask me. Also here's another statistic while we're at it:

@GirafficPark: Especially when a good sanding can expose fresh grain for you to stain.

That and when you do get new wood, get trex. That stuff is super strong and after 2 years has yet to start fading or showing any real signs of wear and tear. While it may not look as good as a stained deck, it does look better than a worn wood deck. Note it is not actually wood, but a recycled plastic/wood mix.

The optical drive hack is genius. This is truly the desk of a person who is out there to get things done. My only issue is the visual assault from the first pic, but I think a higher resolution picture would ease my eye strain.

My trick is I also schedule a work week the week before I get back to school instead of a vacation. This way I get myself into a highly productive and motivated mood for school.

Also for college students looking for a good affordable coffee for those all nighters and test days, get the 8 A.M. Colombian Roast. I have yet to find a better coffee in that price range.

I still use the stranger method. If a stranger offered me the item or a cash equivalent, what would I choose? Or I use the same method as IWNH talks about below. The method depends on the item in question.

Thankfully we have the Philotic Parallax Instantaneous Communicator, or Ansible for those of you who use Webster's! You people still probably call aluminium aluminum though.

@Ben Zvan: I meant that most come up with this very huge and elaborate plan and then create something that doesn't actually meet their needs. Here he has gone and created a venting cabinet to cool his electronics and a desk for all his monitors and it all appears to be just what he wanted. I just recommend finishing

Very very nice! I mean most people just half way do a diy project but this is amazing. I guess you do IT work as this setup makes sense for that. The cooling system is very clever, but I would be afraid to put too many high power computers in such a close and closed area. But I guess you're fan setup would be more

@sprice82: Looks is just a bonus, by not finishing that desk you're cutting it's life span down alot! Even a simple clear coat will work wonders!

DDoS attacks are so 2006.

@general12345: Oh and hackintosh's can be made if you need the power but want to avoid the price.....you must make it yourself pretty much. I believe this site goes over the hardware required. [www.insanelymac.com]

@kettlewhistle: Honda Civics are about the best used vehicles to buy right now. They usually get great gas mileage, even the older ones. I would go for an '06 or '07 model if you can, I know the '07 and up models are ULEV(ultra low emission vehicle) and get better gas mileage. Not to sure about the '06 models.
