I don't really know what the answer is. Mine is already 17 letters (plus a hyphen!) so triple barreled doesn't seem like a great option. I'd consider dropping my father's name and hyphenating with my mom's and my husband's for the kids if it wasn't for the HUGE shit storm that would cause.
