Yes. Forever. I would go to Mars tomorrow if they asked me. This sounds amazing!

I know in Germany some families add their (outdated, hereditary) titles as a part of their legal names? And Greek royal family no longer rules/lives abroad but are still titled princes and princesses of Denmark and Greece?
I attended preschool and I adored it. I didn't really need to go as my mother was staying at home full time with my younger sister but I am really glad that my parents sent me! I got to go do my own thing, hang out with my peers and it was a really great transition to full time school.
I love that one! For some reason this quote always cracks me up:
He is my favourite! Off to re-watch all of Black Books tonight...
As a former server I have the exact same system. I think I've only not tipped 15% or above once, but it really was shockingly bad. The sort of bad that if I was the one serving I would never have expected any tip at all.
Exactly! Even when I was a server I didn't expect my customers to tip me for bad service: and let's be honest... we all know when we are giving them bad service. Sure it sucked, but I never though to get angry at the customer on those occasions!
Nope! If a pants suit is appropriate for men it should be appropriate for women. Conversely, I think that a skirt suit should be allowed for both genders.
" The fact is that there are some women out there who, like Liz, didn't lose their virginity until they were 25 (or older), are disinterested in hook-up culture and find it equally (if not more) satisfying to stay up late playing Uno and eating Sabor de Soledad as they do getting busy."
I am glad someone else has said this! I am always the one inviting people over, organizing outings, or checking in on everyone. I go though these strange emotional cycles of thinking that they're lazy, I'm a shitty person, and that's just who they are. (More accurately, perhaps we've got into the habit of expecting…
Edit: I know she's not 17th century, we were just chatting about it after class!
I completely understand this, they did tend to go on a bit! I've always had this theory that radio and especially television dramatically changed the way we write novels, we got used to quick sweeps of back ground scenery and cutting quickly between plot points. We just don't have the same sort of sense of timing…
One of my 18th century literature professors explained Emma to us as a novel about what happens when a clever, energetic woman is born into a society that doesn't give her any training, outlet for her talents, or opportunities to broaden her mind. I've always loved the book but have never thought of it that way, and…
I love Hardy! Well, some of it. A Pair of Blue Eyes is not his... best work. Jude the Obscure is my favourite, although I have a hard time explaining why.
I've always thought that the Bronte sisters must be either stunningly straight-faced satirists of the highest caliber: holding literary convention, women's social roles, and the cult of romantic love up to a twisted glass; or the most insipid women to have ever lived. It really depends on my mood day-to-day which one…
I love those exchanges! My favourite find was a bio. of George Orwell in Hungary!
Yes, I am seriously thinking of picking one up for my next trip. It does take some of the fun out of trying to find the least terrible book at hostel book exchanges though... as well as opening a book years later to find a Romanian train ticket!
I might consider getting an e-reader for travel if they would package e-books along with actual hard copy books. I mean if I am paying money for a book I want a hard copy, but why could there not be a download code on your receipt or something to get the e-copy along with it? It's not really any different than…
See? It's great to know these things about yourself. In my mid-twenties I've already lived in three countries in the last four years. I love it... but I'm completely shit a setting down and doing normal things. I often gaze longingly at my friends who are settled and married and making money when I'm home for the…
Thank you! And I would especially like to highlight this:
