Heartbreak Hotel by John Cale

Some of my Halloween faves:

It’s a beautiful example of the whole being greater than the sum of the parts. None of the members are considered virtuosos (with the probable exception of Charlie Watts, who mostly showed off his skills with jazz ensembles) but they can blow the roof off the place.

Is Daniel the last of the Bonds?

It’s comedy central, so I’m pretty sure the leading candidate to replace Noah is reruns of the Office.

I hear Mike Richards is available.

Also Poltergeist 3, which is better than people remember (though not, y’know, good).

Barbara Steele from Black Sunday, The Pit and Pendulum, Shivers, and many others is the biggest snub. I would have also included Madeline Smith from The Vampire Lovers and numerous other Hammer horror movies

My main reason to click through this was to see where Halloween III landed, glad that it landed pretty high as I do agree the premise is so nuts that it works.

Loving that III made it that high on the list.

Oh man, that film and her performance are SO good.

By all accounts she was a nice person, and I believe that, but.... holy moly is she the embodiment of villainy in The Manchurian Candidate. The whole movie’s good, everyone’s good in it, but Lansbury blows them all away.

 What a deliciously BONKERS performance.

The first Broadway play I saw was the original production of Sweeney Todd, starring Angela Lansbury and Len Cariou.

Stop blaming mental health. He's just an awful, racist, shitty person

What some people seem to fail to understand;

At this point, given this has gone on for years regardless of whatever treatment he is or isn’t getting at the time, it’s pretty clear whatever mental health issues he has don’t have anything to do with having his shitty views. All they seem to do is affect just how vocally he’s currently expressing those shitty views.

I agree that Casino Royale is the best Bond movie, but I definitely don’t mean the same Casino Royale you do.

a tremendous self-confidence it mistakes for grace

I feel compelled to state that the vitriol directed toward the writers on this site is pretty fucking awful. They are (((literally))) employed by a fucking hedge fund company whose business model is generating clicks, content be damned. Put yourself in the shoes of a professional writer who has to write for these
