I am. The court case was never going to reverse the result. Never. A lawsuit was going to result in a loss for FAI or a cheapening of the overall product. IT was only ever going to result in money. I think there was piss poor negotiations that led to €5 million instead of something closer to €30 million.

Unless the money lined someone’s pocket and didn’t go back to FAI for use, there wasn’t any corruption, just an unfortunate set of choices.

Sure, jumping up and down and getting a wrong admitted is great, but in the end, the only thing a lawsuit was going to do was win money. Settling was the right call for both sides, with the only problem I have in that FIFA did not have to admit they were wrong and Blatter got to be such a dick.
