I love The Wire, there are times where I really love The Bridge but overall, I can only say I like it a lot. This show is trying damn hard to be like it, but the thing with The Wire was that it was relatively objective and cold about everything. Meanwhile, The Bridge emphasizes certain aspects of its universe and…
I did. I've been very happy this season because the directing of the show had improved ten-fold, compared to the first season. This one just had a lot of odd shots and it felt over-edited.
One of my favorite parts is when he has to do the autographs for his artwork, and he's just wheelchaired to spray-paint all over his prints.
Some, but I never expected people to laugh so much about the story where Rorschach throws the guy down the elevator shaft.
Now that I remember, I think the Watchmen movie got more laughs both times I watched in the theater than any of the Nolan Batman movies or Man of Steel.
Goyer didn't really write TDKR, though. And I know people hate on TDKR a lot, but I had no idea they hated that scene, which was pretty much taken from "Kingdom Come", if I'm not mistaken. The Nolan Batman movies had a lot of humor in them, but ti was really spread out and didn't call attention to itself.
They pay-off from the scene with the trucker was actually pretty funny.
When I watched it in the theater, I laughed a lot at what The Joker said or did. Maybe I was in a fucked up phase in my life, but I thought it was great dark humor. Of course, towards the end I was rooting for him to get caught or killed.
My parents are the total opposite. They hate those shows.
As a mexican who wants to work in the entertainment industry, I'd love to make mexican tv less shitty, but I think I'm more likely to be shot out into space before I or anyone else makes that change. Some networks seem to be trying, though.
And directing too!
I like the show a lot. I like it because the situations and characters are relatable in a way, despite the zaniness. But it's far and I mean far from the best comedy TV show right now.
The second season was kinda lacking, but still entertaining. I liked the first season a lot more, because despite all the crazy things it did and places it went to, it felt grounded and had interesting ideas, all aided with Maslany's performance(s.)
I love it, but it's so tough for me to watch in spots. It's always been. Especially the flashback scene : (
But honestly, isn't that pretty close minded on your part? What makes you think he wouldn't earn it?
A friend of mine did and he loves it. His review was very well thought out. I, too, think the movie is a mess but I do see at least some value in it.
Given the movie itself, I can't really see it as a male chauvinist fantasy either.
Did you see the Extended Cut?
Come on, at least Chasing Amy is really good.
