I've actually been reading Miller's original DD run for the first time, and it's pretty fucking great. Pretty much as soon as he got the reigns from McKenzie, it becomes a modern comic.

I've read the first three arcs of Fraction's stuff and really enjoyed it…but it's nowhere near as fresh and exciting as Astonishing.

Eh, I do think that Pulido or Allred would have been just as excellent as Aja. Annie Wu certainly was.

Scott Snyder's Batman is gospel today…but give it a couple years and everyone singing its praises now will find the time to read the much better stories which it ripped off, and stop caring about it.
