Jason, I have another idea.

at least the video is in landscape mode.

They wanted something far more violent and bloody.

Just to be clear, I’m talking about the coup in the background, not the exercise routine. LOL.

This is what some people were hoping would happen at the US Capitol.

I know you were saying that sarcastically, but driving a POS Pontiac Grand Am whose tilt steering wheel axis pin failed three times, I can confirm it is quite terrifying, especially at highway speeds hours away from home in the middle of the night.

Yes, this. Musk is going full-blown Trump with his cult now. Amazingly, the steering wheel and flying car speculation wasn’t even the craziest thing he said in the last few days. He reiterated his belief in robotaxis to justify TSLA’s valuation last week, and said that Tesla cars will have level 5 autonomy by the end

Any cult leader worth his salt tests the congregation to see how loyal they really are. Making all that kool-aid just to have no one drink it would be pretty embarrassing.

I swear that he could make the car emit “Pepperoni Dog Fart” scents and people would be like “Wow, the Tesla likes dogs! Now I can control it with a leash.”

How many physical features need to be removed (touchscreen controls, instrument gauge, air vent knobs, steering wheel adjustment, side mirror adjustment, etc) before Tesla nerds accept the fact it’s all in the name of cheaper/faster/easier manufacturing; not in the name of whatever future Elon is peddling.

I don’t know what everyone is talking about here. I can’t count the number of times that I leave Trader Joe’s and after I put my groceries in my Tesla and after I look through the windshield to see the the curb and the nicely landscaped bushes in front of my Tesla thought “Shit, do I put the car in reverse or drive

This is one of those concepts that is “fine” if you play its rules, but will be indescribably maddening if you need it to do something counter to its logic.

No.

It seems like Tesla has fortified its role as the “Apple of cars,” forcing consumers to accept drastic changes that they think are important while reducing the usability of their product. This steering wheel with the stupid turn buttons is just like when Apple decided to eliminate the 3.5mm audio jack in lieu of the

Musk and his team of designers who don’t actually drive suffer from the delusion that change for its own sake equals progress.

This is design hubris.

I agree. There’s a lot of low-hanging fruit that could be served by relatively low-range, Chevy Bolt type vehicles. A postal van based on the Bolt would probably be more than sufficient for the low mileage that postal vehicles travel.

Still, a good idea though. Even if it’s just the title of a plan, not even a concrete plan, it gets people going. The pessimists will raise all the questions, the optimists will dream the impossible, the realists will write down what can be done. Even a baby step is a step forward.

This will help level the playing field after 100+ years of government subsidies for oil companies.

Good, it will be a good jump start to adoption and the bigger issue, charging network.
