Each state and even within a state inspections are different. I’m in Georgia. Around Atlanta, emission inspections are annual to renew registration. Here in south GA, there is no inspection. They don’t even check for insurance. If you can pay the tax, you get a sticker for another year. Luv me some ‘Murica!

Heck, we drilled everything! Brake handles, changers, even shifters. I saw milled calipers and crankarms. Chop pieces off pedals and shorten handlebars. All for a few grams on a 20lb bike. One more sandwich would be more energy than all those holes saved. Quite a craze that led to a lot of broken parts.

Or join Car Talk’s firm Dewey, Cheatem and Howe.

Wath’cha’ got there is a list of vocations. How ‘bout a list of things that need to be done. (watch a Roadkill vid). Figger out what ya want to get done then figger out how to do it. This takes time. Look at the chore, watch some YT vids, go apply wrenches and other tools, watch some more YT with beer, ask us Oppos,

We net a lot of scrimps here on the coast so scrimp grits are common for dinner. For breakfast, we roll leftovers into balls, coat in falafel mix and deep fry. Top with anything from mustard to maple syrup. With a couple fried eggs and a bit of ham....

Rule #1: Courtesy always. Respect is earned.

Seaweed calls the eggs we get from Hardee’s Slurry. The folded yellow substance looks quite uniform, They probably use a mixer, though. I happen to like the very occasional Sausage and Egg biscuit from there with Mustard or Grape Jelly on them. Special on this month so you’ve prompted me to get a couple on the way to

Heh! I still have a copy of Drug Wars on my Android phone to play at odd times. And I have Pixel Dungeon as the other game. Graphical Rogue. Makes it, what, 30 odd years of playing the same 2 games?

I’ve written a few software engines, worked with several more. They do not use combustion unless they let the smoke out of the cores (which is bad). They are not called software motors. I’m half in the bag so can not try to debate further. These definitions need more work...

FWIW: Sue Novarro also tried to build womens bikes. Same arguments of headtube angles vs rake and wheel sizes. I remember her working with Mike Melton to build a tandem for herself and Lon Haldeman when we were training for RAAM back in the early ‘80s. She looked so small and almost under Lon when they were riding. Her

Nope! My hands have a lifetime of calluses with the attendant cracks and creases. These towels catch on those cracks, however small and feel really weird. I get the 60-packs of white terry towels from Costco for $15. Use and clean or toss as appropriate.

Hell yea, I’d go! There will be a need for folks from menial labor to skilled trades. Lots of us with strong backs or useful trades could never get the funds to pay our way up front. This is how ‘Murica was built - folks willing to accept the debt to get here and work it off. The only caveat is that the debt grow no

I am sad that I have but one star to give you. Well stated!

Really wanted one of these new. Drove a dealer car up thru Sanoma’s Hwy 37 just testing it 4 or 5 times. Price was MSRP+ but I could easily afford it (at the time). First front drive car I ever tried - kinda weird but I was getting used to it. Didn’t get it cause I was 6"-3", 260lbs. Just couldn’t get in or out

Maybe 40/45-years ago Mom (a librarian) brought home a book on coffee. Written by, I think, Shapiro brothers from their NYC coffee roaster/shop. In it, they emphatically stated to add sugar before creamer. The sugar then mixes with the coffee and not the cream. It will mix with the cream first, given the choice,

You ain’t been to my buddies house for a race or game. We all (have to) stand and place hands to heart and at least mumble along when the anthem is sung. Fine by me. Sometimes, it’s better to just listen to the singers on the telly; they’re more in tune...

Went to my 40th High School Reunion last Oct ‘18. We needed a long ladder stored in the old County courthouse. And there in one of the chambers was one of Junior’s early cars. They had to take the car apart to get it thru the normal sized door. (kinja won’t let me post a pic :() Yea, I grew up in Wilkes in the ‘70s.

Recently found Golden Farms(tm) fried onions at the Dollar Tree. For a buck they are unbeatable in flavor and texture. Light, fluffy and not too salty. Haven’t tried to cook with them yet as they are just too good right out of the bag...

Don’t drink and drive?

Re: Sponsors. Best piece of advice my sailing coach gave me when I went to find sponsors was to go to Toast Masters. There happened to be a chapter forming where I worked so I joined. Member #780000 was a good omen... Over the course of a few months I was able to go from an introvert to being able to speak in front of
