because men are very, very fragile snowflakes in this country, that is why. I agree w/you..

It’s not about looking mean, it’s about looking rugged. It’s a little dumb but people’s perception is very important. If they want a truck it’s because they want to do work or adventure things. Things that require durability. So they want their vehicle to look like it’s capable of those things. (even if they’re not

First of all, you are correct.

The cheapest Benz should be a well built well driving high quality car that can cost a lot more than mainstream cars the same size. It should be more quiet, more comfortable, more stable and safer. It should be able to reach a higher mileage than mainstream cars while not receiving much more than regular scheduled

“Maybe we went at a bit too far to cover each and every space into each and every segment. Compact particularly comes to mind,”

“This is not where the main thrust should go”...

What’s shocking is they didn’t learn this 20 years ago with the abysmal C230 hatchback.

Wait, so diluting your brand by selling cheaper cars is a bad thing?

You mean a BMW M-series car?

$300 a year for software that is already written to run on hardware that is already in my car is a rip off. This should be a one-and-done purchase. Upgrades can warrant updates, but a subscription for continued use of a system I already own is an insulting proposition.

Yeah, I’m scratching my head why they didn’t make Supercruise a more common feature in more cars (even if as a option). Seemed like a good opportunity to use it to help sell vehicles. Now nickel and diming on a subscription makes things even less appealing.

$300 a year isn’t as bad as you thought?

Once again GM shooting themselves in the dick to make a buck.

The price isn’t as bad as I thought it would be. However it wouldn’t be as bad had they not 1. Decided last minute to do the features as a subscription thing (again showing Cadillac is nothing but a follower of the Germans) & 2. Asking people to pony up $300 bucks a year to use something that they already asked the

I don’t like this subscription model for car features. At all. I think I’m just going to be sticking to buying used from now on if that’s the direction we’re going in. I’ve driven plenty of cars that have similar technology (although it’s not autonomous) that don’t charge you by the month to use.

agree 100%. I used to by All-clad non-sticks for big bucks. While I would argue they are better out of the box, within a few months they are going to inevitably have some scratches and the non-stick will wear off. Get a good cheap non-stick, and then replace it once a year. A new cheap non-stick is definitely better

Now imagine a Nissan Qube getting this treatment.

My dad has an old xA he’s about ready to dump. I wonder if there’s anything I can do with that.

An xB truck conversion is something I never knew I always wanted.
