I see Keuchel as Mike Hampton 2.0. He has one good pitch, a sinker with late movement, and combined that with some great luck to win a CYA. That late moving sinker has faded the past few years, leaving him with average stuff all around. When a finesse pitcher loses his finesse pitch, he’s going to struggle.

Spot on Tom — Spending lots of money on Dallas Keuchel would solve all of the O’s problems. His strikeout rate has dropped considerably while simultaneously giving up more hits. Over the last three season, his FIP is 3.78 — he’s a league average pitcher at this point.
