So you were this close to buying a Fusion then backed out? What did you buy instead?

Bought a new car in 2018 - considered a Focus, liked Hyundai’s Elantra GT more so I bought that instead - in the market for a second car for my spouse right now. And we’re not looking at the crap Ford’s selling.

Ford’s issue is incredibly basic. It is failing at car making. I think their long term strategy - focus on electrification, CUVs - makes sense in the broader market. However, when they cut sedans from their lineup, they replaced the offerings with incredibly mediocre product that was not initially designed for North

The simplest way for Ford to get my money would be to make a car I want to buy. But they cancelled all those in an attempt to sell EcoSports, so I’m not in danger of buying a Ford any time soon.

Bah humbug.

I remember watching the Audi R10 TDI run around Road America and hearing the noise of the tires across the rumble strips for the first time. It still fucking ruled. Bring on the quiet races!

But remember, Tesla sold the car on 11/15. When they did the audit, they were no longer the owners of the car.

I touched it, and both rocker panels immediately disintegrated.

I’m now banned from Vietnam.

Just don’t jam the brakes or the whole thing faceplants.

INVASIVE SPECIES DETECTED

That is a delightful little car.

Tweel: The preferred brand of getaway drivers everywhere.

E10 is proof that our collective outrage has a limited shelf life :)

Brazil: What are we going to do with all this sugar cane?! It’s out of control, nobody can eat this much sugar! Wait, I have an idea!

Of course not. Don’t be silly!

Third party shops might be more interested. This is pretty much what Icon does now, but instead of producing breathtaking vehicles at breathtaking prices the goal would be to produce overhauled vehicles for less than the cost of new ones.

Uh, the U.S government bailed out GM and Chrysler (twice) and I’m not sure about Ford.

So yes, GM *was* “Government Motors” for a short period of time.

It would make paying $20k for a 10 year old Tacoma with 150k miles 0n it a lot more palatable, for one.

As someone who has purchased a 2014 Fiesta (ST), 2018 Forte and will buy an 2019/2020 Impreza soon, I can confirm that small car owners do like to stay with what they know.

Now this is an excellent point.  Once you put a roof on a speeder you greatly limit pilot size.  You cut be cutting out a massive portion of the galactic population by having headroom that can’t accommodate something 8 feet tall (or taller).

Shutting down the only dedicated politics website in your portfolio right before the 2020 election, one of the most consequential of our lifetime, kicks into high gear. Essentially shutting down the second-most highly trafficked website in your portfolio because one out of every twenty five posts rankles you. I’m not
