I’ll ask it again here, is there anything from the police report that states the semi was at a complete stop prior to starting its left turn, or was it a rolling left with no stop? That would greatly effect the reaction time that a human would have had.

Agreed. Trucks sometime shave to be dicks. Not necessarily cutting cars off, but sometimes you need to just force your way out when there is enough room for traffic to safely stop or you will literally NEVER be able to move.

That diagram is very helpful. I am finding it hard to believe the human driver would miss seeing the semi if he was paying attention and I can see how the sensors missed the truck if the sensor was too low to detect the trailer between the wheels.
