I didn’t realize the SCG003 was street legal (the article even notes it as a ‘full-fledged racecar’). I don’t want to pander just because you’re the big JG and all, but credit where it’s due: beating a 918 by 4s in road-legal trim (minus tires) is hugely impressive, congrats!
Seriosuly mate, I love you.
since we all know Mr. Jim is a Jalop and will likely be reading this comment section, let’s all upvote this one and ask very nicely:
Please, we’ve all been to New Orleans before. We know what happened.
I debated adding getting kinja’d...
Can you comment on if this was on slicks? Also hoping for a Mr. Glickenhaus response for this one. Can you comment on how different the car setup is for street legal tires vs slicks? What changes besides generally stiffening the car up do you make? Also was the car designed around running slicks for racing then road…
And taking the time to endure Kinja.
Points for Mr. Glickenhaus for not only making a world beating car but also taking the time to respond to Kinja comments!

Could easily be GTE but due to some manufactures displeasure they won’t grant us a waiver to race in GTE until we sell 250 which will be a while...
This would be correct. The car that did this was Chassis 002 and was fresh from it’s last VLN race where it’s sister Chassis 001 finished 2 OA and this one finished in the top 10. It was street legal except for tires. (SVA/Homebuilt in the US) and did this with restricted HP (490HP) and about 100KG of race ballast.
With a boat that big you think you would own a more expensive Porsche
Sounds like a loud pop right when it happened, could a blowout do that?
What in the world caused that? There seemed to be a pretty big bump right before everything started to go sideways, did he hit a car with his trailer?
Woke up today excited about being a part of Rutgers football.
Can’t really blame them if that’s a designated place to drop anchor, can you?
