Let me see if I follow: Tested= 30K, Failed=256. 256/30,000= 0.88%. 1,000,000*0.88%= 8,800 failures. That seems like more than 1 defective part per million. Unless I am completely over simplifying here.

I hear ya. Most of that I blame Atlantic Records for. They backed him into a corner that caused the albums you are talking about. Tetsuo & Youth has a great feel to it. Both lyrically and musically. I didn't listen to the previous album like I listen to Tetsuo & Youth.
