I honestly don’t know if that is the easy answer though...because it also makes sense to me that people from these two locations integrate a little and I don’t think adding a school in the second location actually fulfills that portion of the need.
Because it’s a public school, so they aren’t paying a lot of money? Because the NYC public school system has to think about the schooling needs for the entire community and not just one group of vocal rich parents? Because it’s 16 blocks, not 25, which is less than a mile? Because it would correct the major diversity…
