Lol, I know right? Nuts to me for wishing for a moment that Nintendo would consider consumer-friendly pricing. Clearly, I’ve spent too much time on steam, which habitually gives me free game upgrades and dlc. But it sucks to be Nintendo, because I make way more purchases on steam.

I don’t know what to tell ya. I think it’s reasonable to point out that DLC for a beloved and popular title that Nintendo abandoned for almost five years looks half baked, esp considering the price-tag.

aaand *there it is*

Aggro Crab (their game Going Under was published by Team17) chose Vengeance today, it seems...

Yep, I put a URL to the dictionary definition of "wont" tied to the word itself.  Good call.  Thanks for letting me know *why* it broke, at least.

Holy shit this the dumbest fucking cryptobro post I’ve seen yet. Which places it in the all time Hall of Fame for dumbest posts ever.

I wonder what was Ubisoft’s endgame when they allowed their employees to be abused and then promoted the abusers while punishing the victims. Or is that us consumers just don’t get it yet

I just wanna play a fun video game, I dont want to think about selling shit.. Im sure they invested a lot of money into this crap so they have to push it and believe it will turn into big bucks.. I really hope it doesnt, there are enough addon crapola for games already, go ruin movies or some other entertainment

“it’s first destroying the planet, and second just a tool for speculation. But what we [at Ubisoft] are seeing first is the end game.”

“because of the current situation and context of NFTs, gamers really believe it’s first destroying the planet, and second just a tool for speculation. But what we [at Ubisoft] are seeing first is the end game. The end game is about giving players the opportunity to resell their items once they’re finished with them or

Here’s the deal: let’s pretend that I don’t care about making money. I don’t want to resell any items I buy in a video game, I don’t want any video game item I “own” to go up in value over time, I don’t even want to exclusively “own” some item that nobody else has access to. Call me a socialist if you want, but I

ok but what about people who play games for fun and not to try to make money?

He was hired by Ubisoft 2 years ago. He’s been f’ing around with blockchain and suddenly NFTs got big. If this doesn’t pan out he’s out of work...

Firstly, one of the main drivers of this kind of harassment is the assumption that they will never, ever be held to account. There’s a generation of online gamers who started with the wild west of the internet, grew up through the lack of effective or even completely abandoned moderation, and who are now convinced

Would you like the be the one that tells all the people doing the actual work there, the ones who were the victims of many of the injustices that occurred, that they should all lose their jobs because that would be for the best?

The whole Minecraft to Fortnite to Halo thing makes no sense. No developer is going to spend their time working thousands (more?) of unique items from other games into their games so that players of those games can bring their shit in. The balancing work alone would be a nightmare. The “metaverse” is tech-fantasy

It’s just a pump and dump scam.

Elon Musk famously derided the technology as a “fools errand” and that “anyone relying on lidar is doomed. Doomed!”
