What is wrong with the author of this article?

What Canadian gun laws do you guys have that you could see being beneficial in the US? I don’t know a lot about Canadian laws. And if you’re trying to be snarky with the “grown up countries” line its not really working. But I do enjoy getting to engage people from other countries in different topics.

It used to be legal to own another person. It was never listed in the Bill of Rights that I am aware of.

Well you’ve made one thing pretty clear. You’re not an American so I honestly would’t expect you to agree. What you see as a “mistake” I see as a right that all Americans should exercise. And for the record the rights guaranteed to US Citizens in the US constitution are inalienable rights which means they cant be

That’s the thing though. In the US owning a firearm is a right, and has been since the countries creation. Its pretty clear the US isn’t like the rest of the world for both good and bad. But i’ll take living here with our current rights over living in nearly any other country though honestly.

Numbers 10 and 7 seem pretty legitimate. Scrolling through the comments of any article on the root will show you that not only white people can be racist. And when every aspect of your daily life revolves around how you feel you’re being treated because of your race then number 10 comes into play. Not everything in

It’s always amusing when people use “undocumented immigrant” like we don’t all know what they mean.

My main answer to this question would be that its one of the items listed in our bill of rights. If we are able to turn one of our core rights into a privilege where else could that lead? The ability do defend your home / family if ever the time came shouldn’t be treated as a privilege in my personal opinion.

So the cancellation was purely political since apparently the adult swim crew is pretty far left. Why is it OK to pander to one side but not the other?

Its mental illness in my honest opinion. And the promotion of it as “normal’ is very strange to me.

If you get your firearms from an actual firearms dealer they will do a background check on you. The only way this is not done is through private sales. I personally wouldn’t want firearm ownership treated as a privilege like operating a car or any other vehicle. That’s not to say I think that anyone should be turned

Well I agree that the NRA will twist facts and opinions to fit their narratives and sway public perception. I am a firearms owner myself and enjoy getting out to shoot pop cans or paper targets in my back yard. But I don’t think that any actual legislation will come from this incident other than maybe banning the bump

Yeah I dont add anyone I work with on facebook unless I genuinely want to be friends with them. So far only 1 person has hit that mark.

I’m the same way. I hate getting invited to after hours events put on by people I work with. I always need to find a non-rude way to decline. I could care less about whatever your favorite sports team is up to (which is always the only topic of conversation)

I’m not an NRA member so i’m not sure what they’re telling me. But how is it being the idiot who likes to generalize others based on little to no information?

Whats it like to live such an overly dramatic life?

Ouch, moving from hashtags to open armed conflict?

Sounds like someone who knows nothing about firearms other than what they read online. Its nowhere near that easy to convert a semi auto to full auto. The guy that did the shooting didn’t even have a converted weapon. He was using a bump fire stock.

Fully automatic weapons are illegal for nearly 99% of citizens in the US apart from the small percent who has a class 3 weapons license. No one in Nevada can just go into a gun store and buy a full auto weapon.

Thats quite a lot of digging through twitter to be able to point the finger. I’m genuinely curious, what laws would everyone here propose that could have stopped this other than outright “ban guns”?
