I’m aware of what freedom of speech means and I’m also aware of the fact that Youtube isn’t a government entity. I also believe that if it weren’t don’t by PdP and by one of the other countless youtube streamers no one would bat an eye. The entire thing is a non-issue.

Today i’ll be commenting on Call of Duty. Or more specifically, my friends commenting on Call of Duty.

I’m not personally upset at all, I don’t watch PdP on youtube, nor do I care that he said something racist. It literally has no effect on my life. I just enjoy that people can say what they wish on the internet.

“Freedom of speech” does not now mean—nor has it ever meant—freedom from consequences.

Its more of a double standard. Freedom of speech is freedom of speech regardless of your race. I personally feel like anyone should be able to say whatever they feel. If that whatever happens to be racist then people who care will notice and no longer support them.

“Its the internet” is a valid response. People can say and do as they wish. If you don’t like something, then don’t support it. Its that simple.

People seem pretty confused on what actually are “rights” these days and it seems like they’re always trying to add to the list.

If you enjoy it, watch it. Literally nothing will change by you not watching. And “cosign the fuckery” isn’t real, don’t fall for it.
