As someone who has loved Jennifer Holiday for a long time, I was so disappointed last night and so pleased she made the right choice (and such a beautiful apology) today.
Maybe she pulled out because she can’t find something to wear. I hear all the dress shops are completely sold out.
I’ve always loved these discussions precisely because they’re so idiotic and circular. It’s not abuse! I barely even touch my kid when I spank them. It’s just to get their attention— it doesn’t even hurt. Ok then why do it.

Yeah, journalists are taught to never be lyrical, poetic, or use puns when writing about death, as it’s in incredibly poor taste. This isn’t “your chance”; it’s a 12-year-old girl’s suicide. They meant to do this for the horror effect.
What I hate the most here is the rhetoric- describing it like it’s a novel or screenplay, something almost romantic. “As the sun sets..” that’s fucked up.
