Try 2500 bucks, and still i’d be on the fence

I read through the article trying to find some engine-swap or a truck load of upgrades to justify the price... CP all day

not crazy

Me: Excuse me, sir, i would like to be wrapped around a tree in a matter of minutes.

My dad had one when i was a kid, back then it looked like a spaceship, and rode like one. There is a BX GTi in my neighborhood, not surprisingly, i have never seen it running, let alone driving. But it still catches my eye every time i drive by.

Rare, interesting, quirky, easy to maintain and it doesn’t jive with our current design language. Has underapreciated future classic written all over it, in 10 years time it will be unobtanium. Besides, these days everyone wants to haggle(thanks history channel), so i’m pretty sure you can knock a couple of grand off

It was handed down by my dad as a not-so-subtle hint that it’s about time i give him a grandson. As for the handling, its so floaty that i’d be terrified to push it, but it’s confortable and handles a fire-road(goat trail) just fine even though it’s FDW. And yes, i do love the looks, like an oversized toy truck, like

It is all those things, and really, i’m nitpicking, it’s been a great car for what it is. Too bad the “masculinization” process had to include some rather useless flares on the body that give you no extra space inside but make it unnecessarily dificult to navigate some streets(like 2k year old streets, so again,

To me it’s the pandering to a specific demographic. Just like my Dacia Duster that does everything possible to disguise it’s wagon origins, the huge buttons, the puffed up bodywork, even the exaust note tuned to sound like a tractor “cause catterpillar sound means rugged”. It all screams sad desperation. Somehow there

Comparing new and (even slighly)used is hardly fair, be it bikes, cars, boats, the “factory fresh” experience will always carry a premium.

It’s funny how i just thought about this today, saw an Audi A3 sedan and thought to myself “damn, the dimentions look so right for a small sedan, this is what the A4 should have been”. Sedans have really let themselves go... it’s unhealthy at this point.

A pound of bacon? jezz...

Hell, i thought the model 3 was going to be a no frills minivan before it was unveiled, made sense then, makes sense now.

Now playing

I’m just going to leave this right here...

This just goes to show how there will always be a market for a product that lets you look down on other people.

mind=blown

The more i think about it, the less sense it makes for bikes to pass on the left, and really, there was no other move to make. I am a novice motorcycle rider and in that particular situation, a bike coming into my periferal vision that fast would scare the shit out of me. I still maintain that the rider had the “right

i had no idea that was even an issue on road bikes, the more you know...

Passing on the right, especially in these conditions is a dick move regardless of what you are driving/riding. That being said either pass and flip a bird, or back off. No point in making dangerous situation last more than it has to.

In my country the annual MOT inspectors log odometer data into the system, so i guess it’s a non-issue. In my view a small privacy price to pay to make automotive con-artist’s jobs that much harder(it’s much harder to mask a car’s true milleage when you can hit your local DMV and just pull the whole log history).
