Ah so that what it means when a journalist says he is protecting his source!

As a 6 months noob who’s previous ride had pedals, i can’t overstate the value of nº9. Not that the others are less important, it’s just a very abstract concept i’ve never seen explained quite so well before. Kudos on that one.

Yep, that’s it, one of the reasons you can buy a 3 series for about the same as a VW Golf on the used market. But would you want to? no.

It sounds good in theory, but the truth is that’s just not enough grunt for all that weight. you end up asking more of the engine more of the time. That’s why this particular engine has developed a bit of a reputation for blowing turbos left and right. And those things don’t come cheap...

This was a “get my feet wet” kind of thing, i’m already thinking bigger for next year(although i’m keeping the boss). I’l probably get either a classic 125cc(honda a7 for example) or a thoroughly modern one(the honda grom is at the top of the wishlist right now). Anything with a higher displacement requires me to get

As any self-respecting “man child” i got what i wanted when i was 14 but my parents said no.

Precisely, these can move alot of bikes to new riders.

Of course, i realise it’s intirely a matter of perception, the engines make as much, or more power. And ANYTHING can throw you into a tree if you don’t respect it. I’m just saying this perception of easy to ride, relaxed attitude has the potential to sell a lot of bikes to folks who would normally be intimidated by

I am a total novice when it comes to motorcycles, i just got my first one about 3 months ago. I look at something like a cbr600 and think to myself “that thing must be a handfull to keep out of the trees”. I look at the six50 and think “yeah, i could have fun in that”.

I always open these articles thinking “oh god, not another rushed wanabe scrambler”. I always close them thinking “damn, that’s one cool looking bike”. What’s so wrong with this so called “scrambler revival” again?

Sorry Kawasaki, but your princess is in another castle...

Boom.

Sure, but for every 12.5 diesel there are thousands of 12.5 gasoline cars that alone should say enough...

That engine has a reputation for being the worst, most unreliable POS to ever come out of BMW. In most of Europe you can get pristine E39’s with that engine for a song. But if they have more that 60k miles on them run for your life, and even low millage examples are a gamble when that engine is involved. Just say no!

Great watch, entertaining AND educational. Kudos.

Of course! Although i can’t help but wonder how a such a short wheelbase would cope with RWD without spinning out every 5 minutes. I guess i’ll have to wait for the next RS twingo(rear engine/RWD) to get that question answered.

I have an 08 GT Twingo(Portugal didn’t get the RS) and i agree with you on the interior, it’s a definite weak spot on the car, the plastics are horrible. But comparing it to the fiesta that came way later (and in a different price bracket to boot) isn’t exactly fair either. The power delivery from the little 1.2 turbo

That’s the thing, we are all talking about it, right? That’s the cheapest marketing campaign nissan has pulled in a while at 40 million, it has already paid for itself in buzz. And from here on out, they can only really win. If they do well they are innovators, if they do poorly they will always be the team that tried
