What beats me is that fact that you've used a good DSLR camera to take a picture of a good DSLR camera and yet you don't have good pictures. A black object on a black background doesn't really make the subject pop - not to mention the lighting. But that's just me.

I have to agree that this thing is designed to be incorporated in a kitchen counter rather than putting it on top. A wrong implementation does not make a tool impractical.
