The “prequel” to Infinity Gauntlet:

It’s a lot more complicated than that (and the show did not ‘show’ that.) It was clear the the writers were hedging their bets when they wrote Wanda’s power set. It’ll be interesting to see where things go when she shows up in Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness.

“Infinity Saga” is not a comic. The three series in order were Infinity Gauntlet, Infinity War, and Infinity Crusade.  The films loosely adapted the first and did not really at all touch on the other two.  The Infinity Watch was founded after the events of Infinity Gauntlet.

It was shown in the Wandavision series that Wanda’s powers didn’t come from the Mind Stone, but were simply awakened by it.

I will simply say this: Both Carol Danvers’ and Wanda’s powers originate from different Infinity Stones, yet persist after their destruction. Adam was created before Thanos collected, used, then destroyed the stones. Hence perhaps Ayesha managed to use one or more of the stones to infuse Adam with stone based powers…
