I literally just checked my HSA eligible expenses this morning! Sunscreen is covered ONLY if it’s prescribed (which I didn’t know was a thing).

Wegmans! I live in upstate NY, and there are plenty of Wegmans in my area.
According to Amazon, my Prime will be renewed at $99 in August. Even at $99, I’m considering cancelling. I just don’t need 2 day shipping anymore, and I don’t even really use the other Amazon Prime services (except to watch The Grand Tour). Their customer service is pretty crap, and the prices on Amazon aren’t…
This. I have gotten into the habit of taking screenshots of this ‘guaranteed’ date, which conveniently only shows up right after you order a product. It won’t say ‘guaranteed’ on your orders page, so it’s very sneaky.
At least put your savings in a HYSA (high yield savings account). Most of those places offer 1.25-1.5% interest rate, which is better than getting pennies/month at major banks.
Not surprised at all. What a scam - this company needs to be investigated heavily. How are they getting away with this, AND making money in the process?!
Create a budget, and track expenses.
Seriously?! Their website has been down this week during peak trading hours, and they’re spending resources on this?
Mine expires in June (though it’s effectively expired in some countries due to the 6 month rule ). I better get it renewed soon!
I don’t know if wife & I are getting a refund this year, due to some changes. I’ll have to run it through some calculators. If we do, it’s going straight to savings.
We direct deposit into one shared checking account. From there we transfer what we can to savings, and use the remainder in checking to pay bills. We track expenses, maintain budgets, and net worth in a shared spreadsheet. I know it’s manual, but it works. I’ve also mastered pivot charts/tables in Excel, so that’s a…
The credit utilization should be a ratio of all the credit card balances to all your credit card limits. So if you have multiple credit cards (especially with high limits), a $2k purchase shouldn’t ding it that bad (assuming you have no credit card debt/pay off your credit cards in full every month).
Agreed! Samsung Pay is fantastic, and it’s far more useful than Apple/Android Pay. You also get rewards from using Samsung Pay, which is a nice perk. The only downside is that you need a recentish Samsung phone (variants of S6, S7, S8, Note5/8, and more)
There are many tools out there to use - YNAB, Excel templates (I created my own), and other apps/software. I have many categories that have a monthly budget. Example - Entertainment (which includes online subscriptions like Netflix/Google, movies/rentals), Restaurants, Household, etc.
I currently save 35% of my take home, and wife saves everything she makes. Goal is to save even more, invest more, and find passive income opportunities.
Good PSA, but this is not new...
Fairly cheap - $100, considering we ate out twice: once for anniversary dinner, and the other on a trip.
Right! Is this article necessary?!
On their website, it’s listed for $32,500 with a discount of $4,500.
I am very fortunate to get 5 weeks of vacation every year, and I can carry over a full year’s worth of vacation into the next. I always carry one full year’s balance, and I also use the full 5 weeks every year! I try to go on 2-3 actual vacations, and the balance is usually a staycation.
