I hate auto start/stop so much. In the Audi A4 I had as a rental in Florida I found myself wiggling the steering wheel back and forth at every red light so it wouldn’t shut off. Because otherwise the a/c would shut off with it and the car would start to roast.

Clearly he wants people to know he got a big promotion at work. I know every time I see a $60K SUV from a “prestige brand” I think “clearly that person or their spouse has ascended to the heights of their profession” and not “get your bloated soccer mom mobile out of my lane.”

I sure hope that 75 mile commute is total, not one way. If the latter, I suggest our friend here consider buying a new house too. Don’t waste what is 2-3 hours a day minimum being stuck in traffic (not even factoring in the blood pressure issues it will cause).
